Mold & mildew

The goods smell “old”, musty or moldy?
There are various ways to remediate the goods.
Depending on the type of goods, the intensity of the odors or the severity of the mold contamination, different methods can lead to the desired result.

1. hygiene wash / disinfection

Mould stains, mildew, musty odors or fabrics and fillings with bacteria/germs can be removed by disinfecting hygiene laundry.
This method is often used for baby items and underwear in particular, as it is one of the most reliable cleaning methods.
The use of washing formulas with RKI approval from the Robert Koch Institute ensures that the hygiene problem is solved.

Of course, this is not always possible everywhere.
Particularly delicate ready-to-wear textiles as well as shoes, accessories, small items of furniture etc. cannot be washed without impairing their appearance.
However, ozone fumigation or irradiation can also be the right method here.

2. ozone treatment

Ozone fumigation to oxidize undesirable substances results in residue-free cleaning, as it does not contribute to the pollutant load itself when properly decomposed, as ozone can completely decompose into oxygen.

Ozone is a highly effective gaseous disinfectant that can remove odors and destroy germs/bacteria.
It can also be used to remove stubborn odors such as fire and tobacco smells.
Ozone treatment is suitable for particularly delicate items of clothing, shoes, furniture, toys and other fashion accessories that cannot be washed or cleaned without “optical losses” or due to the material (leather).
The appearance of the goods generally does not change, the goods still look like NEW!

3. irradiation

Irradiation with accelerated electron beams (beta radiation from cathode ray tubes) or even a gamma radiation source can be incorporated into the sanitization process.
This may be the only way to sustainably sanitize well-stitched down infected with dangerous odour-forming germs, blistered shirts, animal eggs in cartons or the disinfection of hard goods.
One advantage is that the goods can be disinfected in their packaged state before they are manually cleaned of any decomposition products.
